Tuesday's seventh birthday party!

-k- first of all scroll down to my playlist and click on weezer, "Island in the sun" very appropriate :)

Tuesday is turning 7 and it's time to have some fun, we will limbo and dance in the Hawaiian sun. So "hula" on over and wear your suit, we'll also be getting wet it should be a hoot!

"Message in the bottle"
Here are the invitations I made for the party.... I love scrap paper and look for any opportunity to go pick up some fun prints along with contrasting colors.  I deffinately find my inspiration in the paper when it comes to card making.

We had a lot of fun putting together Tuesday's Hawaiian themed party.  Here is the table we placed her fun flip flop cake on.

I have to say making the cake is not half as much fun for me as putting together invitations; however, it's a challenge I like to take on.  Perhaps if I attempted cake decorating more then a few times a year I would be much better at it.  Someday I would like to get some proper cake decorating tools!

For the luau we served some of Tuesday's favorite: BBQ chicken wings, fruit kabobs , banana  bread, and chips.  I'm pleased to say the girls quite enjoyed it.

The cutest hula girls!

Let's LIMBO
How low can you go?

Happy Birthday my darling Tuesday!  You are growing up so fast.  I can  remember being in the hospital with you, our first baby like it was yesterday.  (such a cliche I know, but too true)  Your daddy and I have always felt that you are an old soul, so wise beyond your years.  You never cease to surprise me with the things that are on your mind.  You are going to be such a wonderful example to your siblings, a heavy task I know but one that will come natural to you.  You have always been so thoughtful and giving, characteristics like these will make a difference in this world.  We love you more then words can express, you are indeed our princess!  xoxoxox Mom & Dad

Adventures at Antelope island

A couple of weeks ago we decided to take the kids out to antelope island.  They were entertained to say the least....

My beautiful little explorer

& my silly lil man :)

once a cowboy...always a cowboy :)

I love Jonah's energy! don't get me wrong at times I wish I could tone it down a notch or two...Other times, I just let him SHINE!

I love, love,LOVE these pictures of Talula!  She was so fascinated & intrigued with the horse yet absolutely horrified to get very close.  So Dave just stepped back and let her take it all in.

 A picture is worth a 1000 words...

Last but not least our sighting of some buffalo.

Take a "Lil" trip

Often times I find myself thinking about where I was this time last year.  It's satisfying to reflect on all that has been experienced and the fond memories that have been made.  It was about this time last year we took a family camping trip to France.  We were blessed with great weather and a beautiful camp ground to stay at.  Here is a collage I put together of our trip...I love looking at old photos!

"Over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go"

Over Memorial day weekend we headed out to my grandparents home in Bear Lake and decided to take the kids fishing

Tuesday was "in charge" of the worms because Jonah refused to touch them :)

Jonah keeping a careful eye on papa as he baited the line

Just minutes after dropping his line Jonah got a bite!

His face says it all!

This is before Tuesday lost her enthusiasm for fishing, needless to say Jonah caught 2 within ten minutes as Tuesday looked on with frustration.  In the end Papa was able to coax her in to waiting and it paid off.  However, both her fish escaped before we could get them off the line.  She was just thrilled to get a bite!

Looking back I see how lucky I was as a child to have grandparents that lived on a farm.  My cousins and I would spend hours exploring the old barn, climbing on the tractors, or chasing through the Fields.  Nature truly does stir the soul, being on the farm away from all the distractions of city life was so good for us.  I love re-creating these experiences for my children and hope they will cherish them as I do one day :)

LifE iS bEaUtifulL!

I'm grateful for the personal growth and expanding perspective I have gained over time.  I love photography and all the beauty it allows us to capture, I think that childhood is indeed a magical time of life and hope to share a glimpse of my children's here.  One of my greatest passions is traveling whether it be across the Atlantic or a simple trip to Bear Lake to see grandma.  I truly love exploring this beautiful world we live in.  I want to share anything and everything that inspires me be it food, places, people, textures you get the point. ( This is so exciting! :)
